2008/01/24 Club Meeting Minutes

Total 13 members attended the meeting: Jane, Jennifer, Jie, Joe, Ken, Lisa, Mike C, Mike G, Sam, Sarah, Shay, Shyam, Stephanie. Guest Aaronattended our meeting.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows.

Sergeant At Arms	Lisa -- called meeting to order at 7:30pm.
Spark Master	Stephanie -- pitched in and told us a story about wolves.
President	Joe -- welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Toastmaster	Jane -- introduced functionaries for the meeting: Mike: Master Evaluator Ken: Grammarian. The word of the day: impervious Mike G: Ah Counter Jennifer: Timer
Table Topics Sam, as the Table Topic Master, asked us to talk about "how to get out your messages". 6 members + 1 guest participated in the table topics: Jane, Joe, Ken, Lisa, Mike G, Shyam, Aaron (Guest). Aaron won the Most Improved Table Topic Speaker award.
Business meeting	Joe promoted the incoming demo meeting on April 3rd. Stephanie mentioned that High Spirit club is looking for a guest speaker.

Shyam won the Most Improved Speaker award.

Table Topics Mike C, as the Table Topic Master, asked us to talk about our new year resolutions. 9 members + 1 guest participated in the table topics: Jie, Joe, Ken, Kerry, Louise, Mike G, Sarita, Shyam, Stephanie, and Madan (Guest). Madan won the Best Table Topic Speaker award.
Business meeting	Joe proposed a design contest for our new club sign. All club members are welcome to participate, and we will vote for the design in the next meeting.
